PILESSA is a UK womenswear brand built on a sustainable ethos and a slow fashion approach.
We design with silhouettes meant to last, not to move on with a season. Every piece starts with the material, and every material is chosen with intention. We work with biodegradable fibres like silk and cotton, alongside upcycled deadstock, so that less goes to waste before a garment even reaches its first wear.
Textile is where our sustainability really shows. We use handloom, woven by hand rather than mass produced, and traditional print techniques like batik, applied with the same care and skill they've always required. These are slower processes, and that's the point. They ask for patience, and they reward it with fabric that has depth and character rather than uniformity.
Our manufacturing choices follow the same standard. We work with partners who share our approach to material and labour, so that sustainability runs through the full life of a garment rather than sitting on the surface as a label.
